Artists Julieta Aranda and Anton Vidokle have initiated a Time Bank towards freeing us from an alienating connection between time and value. Through a parallel economy based on units of time, a time currency and an online network, individuals and groups can exchange skills, goods and services that have been pooled in the bank. For dOCUMENTA (13), Aranda and Vidokle will establish a new branch of time/bank, so that its resultant exchange network may provide unpredictable and hopefully joyous consequences for everyone involved.
