Örebro konsthall förvandlas under deras nya utställning till lite av en byggarbetsplats. Det är konstnären Johan Strandahl som i sin utställning “Av Stereo” vill förmedla känslan av en ständigt pågående process. Besökarna får bland annat se delar ur konstnärens projekt där han tillverkar en exakt kopia av ett kök och dess utrustning

Artist talk & Screening – Axel Petersén

He’s made numerous films and video installations that’s been shown widely in both art and film contexts. He just finished his first feature film AVALON, which has won the critics award in the Toronto film festival and was shown in the Berlinale and the Venice film festival. Axel Graduated last year with an MFA from The Royal Institute of Art, Stockholm, and he will be attending the Mountain School of Arts in Los Angeles in January. Currently he’s preparing a show, A Suppressed Motive, for Niklas Belenius Gallery and writes the screenplay for his upcoming feature; Under the Pyramid.

In the lecture Axel will show his video-installation-turned-short-film, The Tracks of my Tears 2, that tells the story of a car, Ferrari Testarossa, allegedly stolen from Saddam Hussein’s palace in Bagdad, when it was looted at 2003.  He will show stills and clips from other works, among them Close to God / Far from Home (somewhere in between pop & classical) which was shot in Biet Lechem, and discuss his process.

Wherever or whenever you may find Yellow & Black images, signs, symbols, etc., they are part of this project.
This is possibly the largest public art work project ever done on this planet. The project was initiated in 1977
and has since then manifested all over the world in many different forms and shapes – mostly in our shared
man-made society, (but not always, no, not always).
